A formatter puts each clause of a query on its own line and indents the parts inside it, so long queries are easy to read and review. Choose your database so special syntax, such as quotes and operators, is understood.

Pick the right database; PostgreSQL, MySQL and SQL Server quote names differently.
Use lower-case keywords if your team style guide prefers them.
Several queries separated by semicolons are formatted together.
