Who publishes this website
Edtoolkits is published by Team Edtoolkits. For privacy questions or requests, email team@edtoolkits.com. This policy covers our website and support correspondence.
Edtoolkits processes documents in your browser. You don’t need an account to use the tools.
Documents and downloads
We don’t upload your documents, send their contents or filenames to analytics, or store documents on our servers. Files and generated results stay in browser memory until you close or reload the page. Downloads remain wherever you save them.
Passport photos and background removal
Passport selfies, background masks and photo adjustments are processed in your browser. The background model is downloaded from this website; your photo is not sent to a server, a biometric service or analytics. We do not create face embeddings or perform identity verification. Temporary previews and downloads remain in page memory until replaced or you leave; files you download remain wherever you save them.
PDF passwords, signatures and scans
PDF password operations run in a local worker. We do not send passwords to a server, save them in browser storage, or include them in analytics. Password fields are cleared after success or cancellation; clearing a field is not a guarantee of forensic memory erasure. Signature images, drawings, annotations and camera-selected photos stay in your browser. Camera capture uses your device’s file picker where supported. Visual signatures do not verify identity or provide certificate-based signing.
Local models and recognition
Background removal and English OCR download model, language, and runtime assets from this website when needed. Those assets may remain in your browser’s ordinary HTTP cache; they contain no visitor documents. Recognition, masking, vector tracing, and enhancement run on your device. Recognized words and edited table cells are not sent to our servers. Your time zone is detected from browser settings without requesting location permission.
Text, developer tools, and public DNS
Text edits, JSON formatting, calculations, and schedule previews run in your browser. Domain to IP is an exception: when you request a lookup, the entered public domain is sent to our server and Cloudflare DNS to retrieve DNS records. We do not connect to the returned addresses. Lookup results are temporarily cached in bounded server memory to reduce repeated resolver requests; cached answers are reused for at most 60 seconds. Expired entries are removed on access or when replaced, and the cache disappears when the server instance stops. No document contents enter it. Hosting and DNS providers may process technical requests under their own retention policies. Do not enter confidential or internal hostnames.
Optional Google Analytics
Google Analytics measurement starts only after you choose “Accept all” or enable “Usage analytics” and save your preferences. It measures page visits, scrolling, outbound link clicks, and general browser or device information to help us understand site traffic. We send page paths without query strings, fragments, or referrer addresses. We don’t add document names, document contents, or tool inputs to analytics.
Google processes technical connection information, including your IP address, when receiving requests. Google Analytics 4 states that it does not log or store individual IP addresses. Advertising personalization and Google signals are disabled in our integration.
Declining analytics does not affect any tool. You can reopen “Cookie settings” to change your preference. When you turn analytics off, collection stops on this device and this site clears accessible Google Analytics cookies. Data previously collected by Google is not erased by changing this preference.
Google Ads measurement
The shared Google tag loads on the production site with analytics and advertising storage denied by default. Google Ads may receive cookieless consent and measurement signals even when storage is denied, including technical connection information. Advertising storage and user-data permissions follow the separate Google consent manager; accepting Analytics does not grant advertising consent. Advertising personalization signals are disabled. Page locations exclude query strings and fragments, referrers are blank, and we do not send tool inputs or document contents. No tool-completion conversion events are currently configured.
Cookieless traffic measurement
Vercel Web Analytics measures page views and approximate visitor totals independently of your optional Google Analytics choice. It does not use analytics cookies or track you across websites. We remove query strings and fragments from page URLs, and do not send tool inputs, filenames or document contents. Ad blockers may prevent measurement, and visitor totals are estimates rather than exact counts. Vercel may receive the referring page and technical request information. Vercel also provides hosting request metrics, which include assets and automated requests and are different from page views.
Browser storage and hosting
We save your theme and analytics preference on your device when browser storage is available. Google Analytics may use cookies after you opt in. Our hosting provider, Vercel, processes normal network requests and may retain operational logs under its own policies; document contents are not included in our application requests.
Support messages and retention
If you contact us by email, we receive your email address, message, and anything you choose to include. Please do not send confidential documents or sensitive personal information. We use correspondence to respond, investigate issues, and keep necessary support records. Our support mailbox uses Gmail, whose processing is governed by Google’s policies.
Files selected in a tool stay in browser memory and are cleared when you close or reload the page. Downloaded files remain on your device until you remove them. Theme and analytics preferences remain in browser storage until changed or cleared. Analytics retention follows our Google Analytics account settings; hosting and email providers have their own retention practices. You can ask us to review or delete support correspondence, subject to information we need to retain for legitimate recordkeeping or applicable obligations.
Advertising and third-party services
Google AdSense and Google’s consent manager load on the production site. These requests share network information such as your IP address and browser details with Google. We do not pass files or tool inputs to advertising services. Advertising requests wait for consent information. Where European regulations apply, the choices you make for Google and advertising purposes control storage, measurement and personalization. Denied storage or ad-measurement consent keeps requests paused. Personalization requires its own additional consent. Elsewhere, storage and personalization remain denied, and Google determines whether limited ads can be served. Advertising cookies, when allowed, may use previous visits to show or measure ads. Ad availability also depends on Google’s site approval and your region. You can revisit choices on our Cookie Policy page.
You can review or opt out of Google’s personalized advertising in Google My Ad Center. Information about participating vendors and opt-out choices is also available through the Digital Advertising Alliance. Our Analytics-only preference control is not an advertising consent management platform.
Our service providers may process technical information in different countries depending on their infrastructure and settings. Files chosen in our tools are not sent to these providers by the conversion operations.
Your choices and requests
Use the “Cookie settings” control when available to manage essential preferences and optional usage analytics. Browser privacy controls and content blockers may also prevent measurement. See Google’s privacy policy and Vercel’s privacy policy for their data practices.
