Markdown is plain text with simple marks for headings, bold, links and lists. This tool reads the HTML structure and writes the matching Markdown, so you can move web content into READMEs, notes apps and static-site generators.

A small HTML parser builds a tree (unclosed tags are tolerated), then each element is written as CommonMark with GitHub tables, strikethrough and task lists. Markdown characters in text are escaped. Runs entirely in your browser.
