What are the limits of Data Validation Rules?
Rules are applied to supplied data only. Supported checks: required, unique, number, integer, range, allowed, email, http URL and ISO date. Unique checks flag every duplicated nonempty value. Rules are not JSON Schema validation; email checks validate basic structure, not deliverability. Inputs stay in browser memory. No workbook is created. Table limits: 5 MB total text, 25,000 rows, 64 columns and 200,000 cells; expensive operations have stricter limits. Processing can be cancelled.
