How to use Rotate & Flip Image

Correct sideways pictures or create horizontal and vertical mirror images. Quarter turns keep the full picture and swap dimensions when needed.

  1. Choose JPG, PNG, or WebP images. A batch uses the same settings for every file.
  2. Choose 0°, 90°, 180°, or 270°, then enable horizontal or vertical flip as needed.
  3. Check the preview, select an output format, and download the transformed images.

A practical example

Rotate a 1200 × 800 landscape photo by 90° to get an 800 × 1200 portrait image without clipping the edges.

Before you share the result

  • Flips are applied in the original image axes before rotation.
  • JPEG and WebP exports may re-encode pixels; PNG is useful for a lossless pixel export.
  • Reset settings before processing a batch that needs a different orientation.

Useful things to know

What formats and sizes are supported?

Up to 30 images, 30 MB per file, 80 MB combined, and 40 megapixels per input image. Dedicated format converters accept only their named source format. Exported images are limited to 16 megapixels. Total output is limited to 100 MB. Smaller batches work better on phones.

What should I expect from this tool?

Only right-angle rotations are included, so no corners need to be cropped. Metadata is not copied.

Will the exported image look exactly like the original?

PNG retains the decoded pixels without extra lossy compression; JPEG and WebP use the chosen quality. Metadata and colour profiles are not copied. Colour rendering can vary by browser. Animated images become a browser-decoded still frame. Keep your originals and inspect the downloaded output.
