How to use Edit PDF
Annotate PDF pages with new text, translucent highlights, inserted images and freehand notes. Existing page content stays underneath. This is an overlay editor, not a word processor or a secure redaction tool.
- Choose an unlocked PDF and the page to edit.
- Choose an annotation, set its size and position, and add it to the page. Undo unwanted additions.
- Review your pages and download the edited PDF.
A practical example
Add a reviewer note, highlight a paragraph, and draw a check mark.
Before you share the result
- Existing text cannot be replaced or removed. Covering text does not erase it; do not use overlays for redaction.
- New text uses a standard PDF font with Latin character support. Typed visual signatures support browser-rendered text.
- Up to 200 pages, 20 MB and 100 annotations. New content is flattened, and existing digital signatures may be invalidated.
