How to use Image Enhancer

Improve a picture with tonal adjustment, mild denoising, sharpening, and optional enlargement. These are image-processing controls, not generative AI or a promise to recreate missing details.

  1. Choose a JPG, PNG, or WebP image and start with the balanced preset.
  2. Adjust auto contrast, brightness, contrast, saturation, denoise, sharpening, and output scale. Process and compare the result with the original.
  3. Compare the live preview, choose lossless PNG or adjustable-quality JPG/WebP, then enhance and export. Download the result while keeping your original.

A practical example

Lift a dim photograph with auto contrast and a small brightness increase, then apply gentle sharpening rather than maximum sharpening.

Useful things to know

What are the limitations?

Enhancement cannot restore detail that was never captured. Heavy sharpening can create halos; aggressive denoising can soften texture. Enlargement uses high-quality browser interpolation, not AI super-resolution. Choose a 4, 8 or 16 megapixel working and output limit; 8/16 MP modes use more memory. Output is also capped at 8192 pixels per edge and 100 MB. Live previews use reduced resolution. PNG preserves decoded pixels without lossy compression; JPG and WebP remain lossy at 100% quality. Transparent areas use the chosen fill for JPG. Metadata and color profiles are not copied. One JPG, PNG or WebP input up to 30 MB and 40 megapixels; animated inputs use a still frame.

What should I check before relying on the result?

Keep your original. Inspect recognition, colours, transparency, and dimensions. Automated tools can make mistakes; the preview and editing controls help you review the result.
