How to use Split PDF

Extract the pages you need. This tool creates one new PDF from your selected pages; it does not create a separate download for every range. Page numbers refer to positions in the uploaded file, not necessarily the numbers printed on the page.

  1. Choose one PDF and wait for the tool to display its page count.
  2. Enter individual page numbers or ascending ranges separated by commas. Check their positions in a PDF viewer if the file has a cover or unnumbered pages.
  3. Select Extract pages and download the result. Compare it with the original before sharing.

A practical example

For a five-page file, 1-3, 5 produces four pages. Entering 4, 1-2 puts page four first. Repeated pages are included only once, in their first requested position.

Before you share the result

  • Blank, descending, or out-of-bounds ranges produce an error rather than a partial result.
  • For several independent excerpts, change the ranges and download each result in turn.
  • Document-level features such as signatures, bookmarks, or interactive forms may not survive extraction.

Useful things to know

What are the file limits?

Up to 30 files, 30 MB per file, 80 MB combined, and 1,000 PDF pages per result. Mobile devices may run out of memory sooner. Try smaller batches if processing fails.

What should I expect from this tool?

Page content is preserved, but document-level bookmarks, attachments, interactive forms, and digital signatures may not carry over. Keep the original file when those features matter.
