Create and edit GIFs from video, animated GIFs or image sequences with palette and loop controls.
Use the guide alongside the working tool.
Open GIF Maker & Editor →Start with your media
Add a video or GIF, or switch to Images and add an ordered image sequence.
Shape the result
Trim or reorder, then set width, speed, frame rate, palette, dithering and loop behavior.
Review and export
Prepare the GIF, inspect the actual animation and download.
Changing controls keeps the previous export labeled as out of date until you prepare a new result. Always listen or watch before sharing.
Compatibility and limits
Files stay on your device. A pinned FFmpeg WebAssembly engine (about 31 MB) downloads from jsDelivr on first use; an internet connection and a modern WebAssembly browser are required. Processing uses one worker thread and can be slow or memory-intensive on phones. Cancel stops the worker. Export re-encodes media, strips metadata and cannot recover missing quality. Encrypted or DRM-protected media is unsupported. Up to 100 MB combined. Use one video/GIF or up to 20 images of up to 20 MB each. GIF output is capped at 20 seconds, 480 frames and 960 pixels wide; reverse and ping-pong modes count toward that output limit. Palette output has at most 256 colors, without audio. Images support PNG, JPEG and WebP; animated image sequences use their first frame. Output dimensions are even, so images can shift by one pixel.
