Practical tips for HEIC conversion, unit standards, QR screenshots, image privacy and bounded ZIP extraction.
Use the guide alongside the working tool.
Open HEIC to JPG →Turn iPhone photos into compatible JPGs
HEIC to JPG decodes the primary still photo on your device. Choose the output quality and optionally cap the longest edge. Keep the HEIC original: JPEG conversion is lossy and does not retain motion, depth, HDR, profiles or embedded metadata. The 20 MB / 20 MP limits protect device memory. Some HEIF codecs are unsupported; failure does not mean the original is damaged.
Choose the right unit standard
A US gallon and an Imperial gallon are different quantities. The converter labels those separately, as well as US and metric cups, decimal GB and binary GiB, and food kilocalories. Use fixed seconds/minutes/hours rather than calendar months for duration conversions. Results use floating-point arithmetic and are displayed to 12 significant digits; check important measurements independently.
Read a QR screenshot without opening it
Upload a clear JPG, PNG or WebP with a full QR code and its surrounding border. Rotation and inverted colours are tried locally. The image is downscaled for decoding; crop a large screenshot around the code if needed. Decoded content is plain text, not executed. Read the destination carefully: the tool does not certify links as safe, connect to Wi-Fi or request camera access.
Blur is an effect, not guaranteed redaction
For visual styling, blur softens details and pixelation averages blocks. Sensitive text and faces may remain recognizable. Solid cover replaces all selected pixels with an opaque colour and is the safer option for details you must conceal. Draw a rectangle or enter exact coordinates, apply, and inspect the exported result. Only one region is applied at a time; processing is capped at 8 MP / 4096 px.
Inspect ZIP archives before extracting files
ZIP Viewer lists standard stored/Deflate entries before decompression. It limits input to 50 MB, 500 entries, 25 MB per file and 100 MB expanded content, and rejects encrypted, ZIP64, multi-disk, unsafe-path, symlink and conflicting-name archives. Extract one file, or use Extract all to verify and download the actual files separately. Allow multiple downloads if your browser asks, or use the individual links. Separate downloads omit folder paths and add numbered suffixes for duplicate filenames. Save to folder is available where the browser supports it and creates a new subfolder; a stopped save may leave partial files. Size and CRC are checked before download or folder writes. These safeguards are not antivirus. Nested archives are not opened automatically, and downloaded content must still be treated as untrusted.
