Preview batch renames, number files, resolve duplicates and save renamed copies.
Use the guide alongside the working tool.
Open Bulk File Renamer →Prepare
Add files and choose their order. Originals stay untouched.
Adjust and review
Set a naming template, literal find/replace, case, prefix/suffix and optional numbering. Inspect every old → new filename.
Save your result
Save renamed copies into a new folder where supported, or download a ZIP. Download the CSV mapping for reference.
Limits and compatibility
Files are processed on your device and are not uploaded. Use a current browser; memory-constrained devices may need smaller inputs. Cancellation stops processing. Originals remain unchanged. Up to 500 files and 100 MB combined. Renaming does not convert file contents or change extensions. Unsafe characters and reserved device names are normalized; case-insensitive duplicate names receive numbered suffixes. Folder saving requires the File System Access API and creates a new subfolder; cancellation or a write error may leave partial output. ZIP packages renamed copies without recompression.
