Review,2026-06-06,2026-06-07Research occupies June 1, 2 and 3 because the end date is included. Design overlaps it on June 3, and Review overlaps Design on June 6. Those overlaps may be intentional handoffs or scheduling conflicts.
When to choose this chart
A Gantt chart places task ranges on a calendar timeline. It helps communicate overlap and scheduling, but it does not automatically resolve resource conflicts or calculate a critical path.
Prepare and map your fields
Provide task labels and valid ISO start/end dates. End dates are inclusive in this tool, and a task must not end before it starts. Keep the same calendar convention across rows.
Map the task, start-date and end-date columns and inspect validation messages.
Order tasks in a sequence that helps readers follow the project.
Review overlaps and export wide enough for date labels and task names.
Read the result correctly
The bar shows a task's date range. It does not imply working-day exclusions, percentage completion, dependencies or available people unless your source and explanation provide that information.
A mistake to avoid
Locale-specific dates such as 06/07/2026 are ambiguous; use ISO dates. Inclusive ends can make a one-day task look different from software that treats the end timestamp as exclusive.
Export and keep your data private
Review the title, units, labels and any omitted-row warnings at the final export size. PNG is a raster image, SVG retains vector chart elements, and PDF embeds a raster image. Save the original table if you may need to revise the mapping.
Data stays in browser memory; no upload, external chart service or AI model. CSV, TSV, semicolon/pipe text, JSON and JSON Lines: 2 MB, 10,000 rows, 24 columns. Charts allow up to eight series; categorical charts 60 groups, lines/scatter/candlesticks 500 rows, pie/donut/waffle 12 categories, radar 3–12 dimensions. Blank/invalid mapped values are omitted and counted. Numeric values use a decimal point; remove currency symbols and grouping separators. Percent strings are treated as displayed numeric values (25% becomes 25). Dates use ISO format. Recommendations check data structure, not meaning or causation. PNG up to 16 MP; SVG stays vector; PDF embeds a high-resolution chart image. Review mappings, ordering, aggregation and labels before sharing.
