Reverse a short video or create smooth forward-and-back loops.
Use the guide alongside the working tool.
Open Reverse & Boomerang Video →Estimate a loop's duration
Selected source: 4 seconds
Playback: forward and reverse
Speed: 1×
Loops: 2
Expected duration: approximately 16 secondsThe forward-and-back cycle is approximately eight seconds, repeated twice. At 2× speed the same setup is approximately eight seconds overall. Frame rounding can cause a small difference in the encoded duration.
Create and export
Choose a local video and select a short range of up to twelve seconds. Pick reverse-only playback or a forward-and-back boomerang.
Set speed, loop count and whether to keep source audio. Review whether reversed speech or background sound is desirable; silent loops often work better for purely visual movement.
Render and review the MP4. Reversal uses short segments to bound memory; encoded timing can round to frame boundaries and a boomerang repeats its endpoints for one frame.
Methods and limits
Videos up to 50 MB and 10 minutes. Select up to 12 seconds; render at up to 720p and 24 fps. Reversal is processed in short chunks to bound memory. Speed 0.5–2×, up to 3 loops; audio is optional and follows the direction. Boomerang endpoints repeat for one frame.
Local processing
Files and inputs stay in browser memory. Only the shared media engine is downloaded when needed; no media is uploaded. Exported files contain the content you select. Refreshing clears this workspace.
