How to use Trace Drawing
- Add a photo. Choose Outline, Pencil or Bold and adjust Detail, Smooth and Line weight until the lines are easy to follow.
- Open Camera trace. Rest the phone on a glass or stand about 20–30 cm above the paper, then move, pinch, rotate and fade the sketch until it sits where you want it. Tap Lock before drawing.
- Look at the screen and draw on the paper along the lines. Without a camera, use Lightbox: place thin paper over the screen. Download the sketch as PNG to print it.
What are the limits of Trace Drawing?
Photos up to 20 MB and 16 megapixels; line art is generated at up to 1.6 megapixels. The camera feed is shown only on your device and is never recorded or uploaded. Camera access needs HTTPS and permission; some browsers block it in embedded views. Screen-wake locking and fullscreen depend on browser support. Busy or low-contrast photos need less Detail or more Smooth. Line art follows image edges; it does not recognize subjects or invent missing detail.
