How to use Text to Speech Reader
- Paste or type the text you want to hear, or open a .txt file.
- Choose the language and a voice from those on your device (Indian English and Hindi voices are common), and set the speed, pitch and volume.
- Press Play. Each word is highlighted as it is read; pause, resume or stop at any time.
What are the limits of Text to Speech Reader?
Speech uses the voices built into your device and browser, so the choice and quality vary (Chrome, Edge and Safari offer the most). Voices marked online may send the text to your browser maker to be spoken; device voices work offline. Browsers do not let websites record this speech, so there is no audio download. Long texts are read sentence by sentence.
