How to use EPF & PPF Calculator
- Choose EPF (the provident fund at your job) or PPF (the public provident fund you open yourself).
- For EPF, enter your monthly basic + DA, current balance, yearly raise, age and retirement age; adjust the EPF rate or your contribution if needed. For PPF, enter the yearly deposit, any current balance, the term (15 years or with 5-year extensions) and the rate.
- Read the corpus at retirement or the PPF maturity, how much came from you, your employer and interest, and the year-by-year table. Copy the summary.
What are the limits of EPF & PPF Calculator?
Projections assume today's rates for the whole period (EPF 8.25%, PPF 7.1% by default); both are reviewed by the government and change over time. EPF splits the employer's 12% into 8.33% for EPS pension (capped at ₹1,250 a month for most members) and the rest to EPF. PPF assumes deposits by 5 April each year. Amounts are not adjusted for inflation. Not financial advice.
