Exam Seating Plan Generator in your browser

By Team Edtoolkits · Teaching & worksheets

Spread roll numbers from several classes across exam rooms so students sitting side by side are from different classes, then print a seating chart and door list for every room.

Use the guide alongside the working tool.

Open Exam Seating Plan Generator →

Pick the exam and document

List each class with its roll numbers or ranges, such as 10A: 1-40 or B101-B140.

Frame and clean up

Add the exam rooms with their rows of benches, benches in a row and seats on each bench.

Create and check

See each room's chart (front of the room at the top) with classes colour-coded and no classmates side by side where possible, then print all rooms with door lists or copy the lists.

Privacy and limits

Neighbours on a bench always differ when there are at least as many classes as seats on a bench; with fewer classes, some classmates may sit together and the tool tells you how many. Students with special arrangements should be placed by hand. Nothing is uploaded.
