What are the limits of Multi-Debt Payoff Planner?

Treats interest as monthly rate ÷ 12 on the balance and ignores new purchases, late fees, GST on card interest and changing rates. For one card with GST on interest, use the Credit Card Payoff Calculator. Informs, does not advise. Nothing you enter leaves your device.

How it works

List every loan and card you owe, add any extra money you can spare, and see in which order to clear them. The avalanche method pays the highest rate first and costs least. The snowball method clears small balances first for quick wins.

Avalanche: every spare rupee goes to the debt with the highest interest rate first.
Each month: add interest (rate ÷ 12), pay every minimum, then put all remaining money on the target debt. A cleared debt's minimum rolls onto the next.
Order cleared: Credit card → Bike loan → Personal loan.

Always pay every minimum on time; late fees are not counted here.
The extra amount and the minimums of cleared debts are what make the plan fast.
Move a high-rate card balance to a cheaper loan if you can, then plan again.

Monthly simulation: interest = balance × annual rate ÷ 12, minimums paid on every open debt, then the rest of a fixed monthly budget (sum of minimums + extra) goes to the target debt by the chosen order. 'Minimums only' pays each debt with its own minimum with no rollover. Tests check a single debt against the loan-term formula n = −ln(1 − rP ÷ payment) ÷ ln(1 + r) and that avalanche never costs more interest than snowball. No external rate source is used: you enter your own rates.
