What are the limits of Exam Age Eligibility Calculator?

Only UPSC CSE 2026 and SSC CGL 2026 are filled in, each checked against the official notice named in the page. Banking, railway and state exam limits change with every notification, so add them to the table from the notification itself. Combined relaxations (such as ex-servicemen who are also SC/ST) differ by exam: confirm with the notification. This is a guide, not an official decision. Your details stay on your device.

How it works

Government exams fix an age window on a cut-off date given in each notification. You must have reached the minimum age and not yet reached the maximum age on that date. SC/ST, OBC, PwBD and ex-servicemen candidates get extra years on the upper limit. Edit the table to match any notification.

UPSC Civil Services Examination Notice No. 05/2026-CSE dated 04.02.2026, para 3(II) (age on 1 August 2026). Limits can change in a corrigendum: confirm with the latest notification.

Age on the cut-off date 2026-08-01 = 26 years 6 months 17 days.
Minimum 21 years: met. Upper limit 32 + 0 relaxation = under 32 years: met.

Always use the cut-off date from the latest notification, not last year's.
Use the date of birth on your matriculation or secondary certificate.
Check the notification for how relaxations combine for your category.
Keep the certificate needed for your relaxation ready before you apply.

Eligible if the completed age on the cut-off date is at least the minimum and below the maximum plus relaxation (the notices say candidates must not have attained the maximum age). Relaxations for SC/ST or OBC and PwBD are added; ex-servicemen relaxation is added too, and where the exam says so, military service is deducted from the age first.
